A human washing machine...

Aloha! Welcome back to my blog. Have you ever heard of an activity called '10 Second Objects'? Well, today we played '10 Second Object'. It's when you have a group and you have ten seconds to make a object that the teacher calls out and you have to make it using yourself and your group members. We had to make a washing machine, a sandwich, and a breakfast on a Saturday morning. Then we played another game called 'There Is Only One Liar'. We had to sit in a circle and close our eyes. Nicola went around, and tapped someone on the shoulder.  We then opened our eyes, and we had to point to the person we thought she tapped.  We played two rounds. The first round, Nicola didn't tap anyone, and the next round she tapped EVERYONE! The first round, Nicola was the liar, and the second round, we were all liars because everyone pointed at someone else, even though each of us had been tapped.

THE PIT!!!!

Hello and welcome back to my blog today. I am going to talk about the pit. The pit is a pit that you can fall into if you are unorganised and tired. The pit is really bad to be in and it is hard to get out of. Darryn demonstrated how you can get in here. Some ways to get in can be from being tired, being unorganised.  Once you start feeling this way, you can fall deeper and deeper into the pit. We talked about how to get out of the pit - you need to tell someone what the problem is - that is often the hardest thing to do!

Renzulli and his model of giftedness.

Aloha and welcome to another blog post. Today I am going to talk about Renzulli's model of giftedness. Renzuill says you need 3 things to be gifted. He said you have to be creative, have task commitment (sticking to a task like sticky jam), and have above average ability (your working at a higher level than your age). They are the three things he says you have to have to be gifted. Okay, now lets move on to chess today. During chess Daniel challenged me to a game of chess and I won! I moved up no spaces because he was at the bottom of the leaderboard anyway!

Advanced Chess lessons with Darryn

Hello welcome back to my blog... I hope you all had great holidays. Today at Enrich we watched a quick video about a cat and a big box.  It is called Marus and the big box.  Then I played a game of chess as I went to Darryn's advanced chess. Lessons we learnt were something called Scholars,  checkmate - you can win a round of chess in four moves. I was going to challenge someone but everyone was playing.  Later we are going to do a technology chalange. BYE see you next time.

Now lets move on to something else. Today we did passion time and I was finishing my sketch. I am sad that we will not go to Enrich for two weeks. -_- goodbye.

Stone carving prep

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I starterd my sketch for me to make for my stone carving.   This is my passion project. I am going  to make a beaver chewing on a piece of wood! At first I was going to do a weasel but then I chose a beaver for my passion project. We got a long time to work on it this morning. When I finished my sketch, I told Katie it was morning tea because she had forgotten!  The sketch was quite tricky because you have to sketch it out in 3-D (3 directions!)  I am looking forward to getting out in the stone carving shed and getting started ._.

The trip to Queens Park

Bonjour and welcome to my blog. Have you ever dropped a camera at Queens Park.  I know I haven't. Today at Enrich we went on a trip to Queens Park. We went in two different groups. The groups were Katie and Jenni with Josh's Dad and Nicola Daniel's Mum. I was in Nicola's group. We had to pick a partner to work with before we left Enrich. In my group, I was partnered with Daniel. We had to look out for patterns in our local environment. The 4 types of patterns we had to find  beauty, order, strength and survivability. We found a lot of patterns! We went to the bird avery.  We found a lot of patterns there. The bird I liked best was the cockatoo.
