Passion Time:

Today for our passion time, I chose pottery.  First, we watched a You Tube lesson about how to make a coil pot.  Next we go our area set up.  I got a board, and put a little bit of water on it.  I had to throw my big slab of clay down on the board until all the clay was flat, and there was no air bubbles in it.  I rolled my clay out with a rolling pin.  We used a round plastic container to help make a round shape for the bottom of our pot.  Next, I had to roll out heaps of snakes to use as the walls of my coil pot.  I had fun and at the end we got to make patterns on the very top snake.
